If you have been working with computers for any amount of time you have realized the importance of backing up your work. Of course no one has the time to backup their work so they just go ahead and make those few small changes to their site. Then it happens..... a sinking feeling..... as your web page suddenly disappears or errors out or even worse - the whole site goes down.
What are you to do now? You should run to your IT Policy Handbook and look up what to do in case of data loss.

This is a great web page with basic information about link exchanges referencing the industry giants. More and more companies are choosing to outsource their linking campaigns; however, caveat emptor - not all "services" are going to do linking ethically and many are going to just try to cram hundreds of links onto your site to "game" the search engines.

Google has a great service that I wish all Search Engines offered. You can signup a Google Webmaster Tools account via their website. Once you have an account you have access to some very cool information about how Google views your website. Then you can find areas where development and/or improvement is needed.
Additionally if you want to be sure all search engines find your site and index your site properly add a 'Site Map'. Site maps are good not only for the search engines but also for the benefit of your visitors.
