Just as the trees get done pouring off their leaves the thanksgiving holiday is at our feet. It is the one day a year most of us get together with friends & family and eat until every one is ready to take a nap. Here at Thalo Creative we all have family. Some of us in the office are family. Thanksgiving is one of the few holidays we honor, so all of us have time with our loved ones.

You may ask what a CMS is. CMS stands for Content Management System. Traditionally users are not able to edit their websites with out knowing how to work with html. So if they decide to try to edit it them selves there is a possibility of messing everything up. With out a CMS based website the client would have to go to the designer to have them make every little change. After the designer is done with the changes they send the client a bill for all the changes that were made. A CMS can completely eliminate this process.

At Thalo Creative, we host a lot of the websites we design and some others that we haven’t designed. One of the biggest reasons we host them is the ease it gives us because we know our own systems when we are making edits on the website. But then the hosting providers we use start diminishing in the quality of service that they provide. The big cause to this is outsourcing the support staff to the other countries.

Every one knows what Google’s main page looks like; the word Google and then a search bar underneath. Google has always had what they call the Google Doodle. This is a small illustration that they put in place of the word Google.

S.O.W. is one of the most important acronyms in the web design industry. S.O.W means Scope of Work. It is usually the work that is to be completed in a contractual agreement. It gives a clear and defined outline of work that will be completed once the contract is signed and the payments are taken care of.

We are known for the front room table we have. It isn’t like a normal table. Our pool table is a key component to the office and the overall moral of the company.

This is often a question we get when we take over a company’s SEO campaign. The answer usually is not so cut and dry. In a lot of industries the hours you work are usually set. So you know whether or not you are going to have a late night. This isn’t always the case though, especially in the web design industry.

In the last quarter century the way we get information has drastically changed. In the 80s you had to go to the library to research something you wanted more information about. Or you had to find someone who had the information you needed. This is they way information has been passed along for centuries.

In the web design industry there has always been some controversy over payment installments, receiving payments, and receiving work that comes with contracts or agreements made between the web designer (or web design firm) and clientele.

I think the ability to use your browser is vary important. How will you use your browser if you don't even know where or what a URL bar is.
